The kerb and gutter was realigned to the new road and asphalt was reinstated. The site was secured for the public with a steel plate, guard rails and fencing.

The Eastern side works were completed in May 2021.

The Western side works commenced in October 2021.

The second stage of the project included construction of a new pedestrian footpath, crash barriers for public safety and strengthening of the existing structure on the Western side of Booth St, opposite the newly constructed bridge on the Eastern side.
