Waratah Avenue Plaza

Statewide Civil are thrilled to have worked alongside Randwick City Council to deliver a new Plaza for the community. This project saw upgrade to Waratah Avenue by delivering a comfortable, safe place for people to meet and socialise. This project has also aimed to help improve local accessibility and support business operators and local land owners.
The scope of works included:
Demolition/removal of selected existing elements such as kerb and gutter, kerb ramps, pavement, section of concrete footpath and furniture
Installation of new sections of kerb and gutter, paving, concrete edging, sandstone edging, concrete seating walls topped with timber battens, canopy pergola, timber decking, tree pits, footpath, stairs and handrails.
Installation of new street furniture including custom seating, bench seats and tables, bike hoops, drinking fountain, fixed and retractable bollards, smart pole and bollard public domain and strip feature lighting and additional power supply.
Landscaping works including new advanced street trees, the construction of garden beds and raised planters with new feature trees and mass plantings of low native shrubs, groundcovers, grasses and mulching.
