Statewide Civil was awarded the East End Stage 1 Mall Refurbishment project by the City of Newcastle Council.

Stage 1 reinstated Hunter Street as a traditional main street, improve accessibility, give cyclists dedicated space, and significantly improve lighting and smart city infrastructure.

These works included a complete road renewal, provision of wider footpaths, upgrade of storm water infrastructure, new street trees, landscaping and street furniture, and the provision of dedicated cycleways.

Our team worked hard on completing the City of Newcastle Councils vision, which involved very particular planning and coordination with all the various stakeholders, existing developers, asset and utility owners and, traffic authorities to ensure that the project was achieved efficiently and smoothly.

This project was a milestone for our business, it was the first project win in the Hunter Region. Our team were happy to complete the project for City of Newcastle Council and its community.
