CEO Dare to Cure - 2021

Our fearless General Manager Paul has been nominated to take part in the Children’s Cancer Institute’s CEO Dare to Cure. Paul is proud to be an Ambassador for this amazing cause.

The Children's Cancer Institute is the only independent medical research institute in Australia wholly dedicated to curing childhood cancer and pioneering safer treatments.

Every single week in Australia, 20 children are diagnosed with cancer and it still kills more children than any other disease. Children’s Cancer Institute’s goal is to put an end to childhood cancer and pioneer safer treatments for children through medical research.

That’s why this year Paul has agreed to step out of his comfort zone to take on his fear of heights and complete “The BIG Climb” at this important fundraising event.

As part of the event, Paul has been put on “Team Huey” - one of the very special child Ambassadors for CEO Dare to Cure.

At just 10 weeks old, Huey was diagnosed with Stage 4S neuroblastoma. A 5cm tumour was impeding his breathing and had spread to his liver. He received eight rounds of chemotherapy and countless blood transfusions. Huey is now a healthy, young boy but his parents live with the threat of relapse every day. Children’s Cancer Institute is determined to pioneer safer, more effective treatments for children like Huey.

The event will be held on Tuesday 23 November at the iconic Fleet Steps in Sydney
