Horlyck Reserve was a job awarded to Statewide Civil by Parramatta City Council. It involved the remediation of an existing playing field, incorporating a second field, synthetic cricket wicket, upgraded lighting towers and has been designed with the intention of a future amenities block to be constructed. An irrigation system was also newly installed with a 100 kL storage tank, which was connected to a pump installed adjacent to nearby Duck Creek. This pump allowed the reuse of water from the creek, pumping it up through a UV filtration system, removing any harmful bacteria, and watering the playing fields. This system eliminated the need of using any town water to irrigate the field in times of minimal rainfall. The 20,000m² of turf laid is currently being monitered and maintained, and Statewide Civil aims to have the fields open for the use of the public by October 2011.
